The Fishing Season in Waterville, Co. Kerry starts 17th January till 12th October.

Early in the SeasonSpring Salmon are caught on fly and troll.

Later in the season, it is mainly fly fishing for Salmon & Sea Trout.

The best fishing in the Inny River is from July to October

Lough Currane - 2500 Acres

Lough Currane is 5 miles long by 2 miles across. The deepest part of the lake is 60m deep. I do most of my fly fishing in shallow ledges off numerous islands around Lough Currane. Salmon Fly Fishing on this lake is mainly done with a floating line with 2 Salmon Flies which I tie myself. I have numerous specimen Sea Trout and salmon on this lake.

Lough Namona - 200 Acres

This Upper Lake fishes well from June to October and is the closest lake to Lough Currane. This lake fishes well for Sea trout after a flood.

Lough Cloonlaghlin - 700 Acres

This Upper Lake fishes well from May to October. There is numerous Brown Trout, Sea Trout and Salmon in this Lake after a Flood. It is connected to Lough Namona by a small stream.

Lough Derriana - 1000 Acres

This lake is the deepest of all the upper lakes which makes it ideal for trolling and fly fishing for Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout after a flood.
